Visalia Hopefest Job Fair

The tough economy has left thousands of people in the Central Valley without jobs and finding another job can be just has difficult.Starting at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning about 35 companies with available positions will be here looking for employees.

But there is something different about the Hopefest. Organizers are looking to encourage those looking for a job in a tough economy with messages of hope and education.

This comes at a critical time for people in Tulare County. Recent unemployment rates show in April Tulare County's unemployment rate was 15.4 percent, meaning nearly 3,200 people were without a job. Visalia has an unemployment rate of 9.6 percent.
