When firefighters arrived at the scene they found heavy fire that had spread from the building to the roof.
Fire investigators say the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction. There were vehicles located inside the shop at the time of the fire.
The fire did not spread beyond the auto shop but another business in the same building did have smoke damage.
No one suffered any injuries. But the fire caused at least $400,000 worth of damage.
