Central Valley elected officials and hunger organizations are banding together to get you to vote in an online completion to fight hunger.

Walmart is giving away $1 million dollars to the city with the most Facebook supporters joining it's "Fight Hunger Together" campaign -- and $50 thousand checks to the other top twenty contenders.

Fresno City Council President Clint Olivier, former Fresno Mayor Alan Autry and other Valley officials urged families to get behind the effort. They say each Central Valley community in the competition is in dire need of additional support - hit hard by high unemployment.

Right now Fresno is in third place, Madera is in 13th and Visalia and Hanford are in the top twenty.

You can vote for all four cities - once every 24 hours. Voting closes Monday at midnight.
