FRESNO, Calif. -- A skate park five years in the making officially opened Thursday to the public.
More than 300 people showed up to the grand opening of the skate park at Romain in Central Fresno.
The state-of-the art facility is possible through the coalition "Fresno Building Healthy Communities." They fund raised with support of the California Endowment after hearing about the need for better parks in Fresno -- specifically on the south side of town.
