Man hospitalized after shooting in central Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An investigation is underway after a man was shot in central Fresno on Wednesday night.

The shooting happened around 8 pm in the area of Hughes and Dakota avenues.

Fresno police say the victim was involved in an argument when he was shot.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where his condition is unknown.

Authorities are working to determine what led up to the argument.
