2 officers hospitalized suspect dead in Seattle suburb

SEATTLE, WA (KFSN) -- Two police officers are in the hospital and a suspect dead after a shooting in a Seattle suburb Sunday morning.

Washington police say it happened in a parking lot when two officers approached a vehicle with a driver sitting inside.

As officers walked up to the car the driver began shooting at the officers.

One officer was hit twice in the abdomen and the other shot in the waist. They returned fire and killed the gunman.

Both officers are being treated in the hospital. Their conditions are not known.
