FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A lot of animals are getting used to new homes Saturday night after a record-setting day of adoptions.
There was one sweet guy chomping on his bone while hanging out for the Valley Animal Center's Super Adoption Saturday.
There were 11 different rescue organizations and animal shelters that came out to east-central Fresno and gave people the chance for easy adoptions.
"Fresno has one of the highest pet overpopulation problems in the entire country," Nina Tonnu with the animal center explained. "So, Valley Animal Center's mission has always been to alleviate that problem through adoptions, education, spaying and neutering."
There were 80 dogs and cats found forever homes under the watch of our own Veronica Miracle, who emceed the super adoption.
And because of all those adoptions, Valley Animal Center also had room to save seven more animals who otherwise would've been put down.
They'll be available for adoption soon.
