Shooter Identified in Apparent Murder Suicide Attempt

2/29/2008 Fresno It happened yesterday at Glenn, just south of Floradora. Police said 30-year-old Jaime Reyes shot and killed his girlfriend, then later shot himself.

Officers received a 911 call and found Reyes still alive when they got to the house. Investigators haven't released the woman's identity. They think the attack started as an argument that escalated.

Reyes is in critical, but stable condition. This is the fourth murder of the year in Fresno. At this time last year, there had already been seven.
