Five People Shot in Tenderloin Shootout

SAN FRANCISCO

It happened right before 10:30 p.m. Monday night. Witnesses told ABC7 that the victim who died was a woman in her 30s. The other four people who were wounded have been taken to several local hospitals. The extent of their injuries isn't yet known.

The suspect was reportedly driving a silver Mercedes SUV and sped away from the scene going 100 miles per hour across the Bay Bridge toward Oakland. Police lost sight of the suspect and were unable to find them. Officers from the southern district arrived to help the Tenderloin officers, since they were so busy trying to gather witnesses.

There is no motive on why the gunman opened fire.
