A South Valley football team was honored at the Tulare County Board of Supervisors meeting Tuesday morning, but the proclamation that was awarded had special meaning to the supervisors chairman and a member of the team.Last month, the Dinuba High School Varsity Football Team beat The Porterville High School Panthers to win the Division Three Valley Championship title.

The last time the school won the title was 36-years ago, when Supervisor Chair Steve Worthley was on the team.

"I'll use this opportunity to put this in the chairman's office for this year how's that," said Supervisor Steve Worthley.

Each member of the team received a proclamation from the board of supervisors honoring them for their hard work this football season.
