An hour later another home was hit, in the area of Lane and Burgan near John Wash Elementary School in Fresno County.
In the first case the suspect broke into a car outside a home around 6:30. Investigators say the sound of the car's alarm system scared him off.
Then, around 7:30, the suspect broke into a house, getting away with a woman's purse. Deputies caught up with the suspect shortly after and arrested him.
