Madera Co authorities still looking to identify man

FRESNO, Calif.

In late December, investigators found an elderly man whose naked body was discovered in a Madera County olive orchard.

The image above is what authorities believe the man's face looks like.

The Sheriff's Department says he was five-foot-eight. He weighed 160 pounds. He was missing several teeth and had a cauliflower left ear. He also had an eight inch scar.

Investigators announced Monday that they've turned to an Internet database to help identify the man.

The website, National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, is a nationwide web-based clearing house that stores data and missing persons as well as people who have not yet been identified.

Despite hitting a dead end, investigators hope the website will help them uncover who this man was.
