Police say a teen shot a cat in the face with an arrow

WASHINGTON, Utah

Washington City Police Officer Ed Kantor tells The Spectrum the suspect was found Wednesday after investigators fielded tips from the public. The case has been sent to juvenile courts, where it will be reviewed for possible charges.

Officials with the nonprofit organization One More Chance C.A.T.S. say the impaled feline was found Feb. 5 after disappearing from a park.

A veterinarian who examined the cat says an arrow had gone through the animal's head and passed through its esophagus. The arrow then came out of the cat's shoulder blades.

The vet removed the arrow, and the cat, named Quiver, is recovering.
