The fire broke out shortly before 10 p.m. near Maple and Belmont.
Firefighters say the fire appears to have started in a shed. Crews say the structure contained propane tanks, which began to explode.
The fire spread and moved up a tree. Investigators say flames shot about 40 feet into the air, and some of those flames hit a house. Fortunately, the two residents were not home at the time of the fire, but they were displaced.
Damage is estimated at about $300,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
