Those reports were later updated, and police were told the man had a gun and was acting strangely. When police confronted the suspect, he would not follow orders.
Mike Clark with the Fresno Police Department said, "He was telling us he was God and reached towards his waistband. At that point a member from the DA's office who happened to be on scene fired three rounds and struck the individual."
The suspect is identified as 21-year-old Raymond Tomlin. He suffered minor injuries, but no one else was hurt.
Police say Tomlin was on parole, and will now face charges of resisting arrest.
