Hundreds made their way through Woodward Park as part of the Walk to Cure Diabetes. Afterward, they enjoyed lunch and entertainment.
The event raises funds to help find a cure for type 1 diabetes. The disease impacts both adults and children, and about one in every 10 people who live in the Valley. Those who suffer from it have a lifelong dependence on injected insulin.
Saturday's event was one of nearly 200 across the country to raise awareness.
