Dog rescued from fire in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif.

The Fresno Fire Department said they were able to get the fire under control around 1 p.m. on Thursday. During the firefighting effort, crews needed to be evacuated due to unsafe conditions -- but one firefighter was still able to rescue a dog from the fire.

The fire department said 10 people were displaced. The cause of the fire is under investigation and the fire department estimated the damage at $60,000.
