Cycling group donates 45K to charities

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A local cycling group spent the morning donating $45-thousand to local charities.

The Central Valley Cycling Charitable Association donated $15 thousand each to Freewheel Project, Oasis-Central Valley Regional Center, and the Sweet Eats program. Group members raise funds all year long to give back to the community -- all while training for a one hundred mile bike ride.

CVCC has donated $850 thousand to local groups since it was founded in 2007. The group hopes to reach the $1 million mark by its 10th anniversary.
