California Assemblymembers receive Legislator of the Year Award

FRESNO (KFSN) -- The Amvets Legislator of the Year award was held Saturday morning in Visalia honoring Fresno Assemblymember Jim Patterson.

The assemblymember was honored for his work in supporting California's veterans, service members, and their families.

And Fresno Assemblymember Dr. Joaquin Arambula was also honored with the award.

Both assemblymembers worked together in 2017 to co-author the CA Veteran Suicide Information Act to help the state of California accurately report veteran suicide rates.
