Fresno Highland Gathering and Games takes over Kearney Park
The Scottish culture was on full display Saturday in Fresno County.

FRESNO, Calif. -- The Scottish culture was on full display Saturday in Fresno County.

The Fresno Highland Gathering and Games turned Kearney Park into a Scottish Village. The sound of bagpipes filled the air as dozens of athletes competed in several traditional events -- including the caber toss.

People could meet Scottish legends and visit "Clan Row" to trace their heritage. ABC30's Warren Armstrong was there representing "Clan Armstrong."

Organizers say the games have become a tradition in many households and help pass on the rich culture.
