FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man was booked into jail on drunk driving charges after crashing into the construction barriers around Madera's new courthouse.
Police say Romeo Garcia's blood-alcohol level was nearly two times the legal limit after the crash.
The 42-year-old's car flipped onto its side before coming to a stop on G Street near 6th. It appears several beer cans fell out of the vehicle, leaving a pile of evidence at the scene.
This story has received a lot of attention on the Madera Police Department's Facebook page, including one woman who says a lot of children live in that area, and she's glad no one was hurt.
