Merced County escaped inmate taken back into custody

DELHI, Calif. (KFSN) -- An escaped Merced County inmate is back in custody. Officials said 36-year-old Alexandra Correa was found Wednesday afternoon at a laundromat in Delhi.

An anonymous tip led them to the location where Correa gave up without incident.

Correa escaped from custody while under the watch of private security at Mercy Medical Center during treatment for an undisclosed medical issue.

Correa is accused of possession of a stolen vehicle and stolen property.
