Delano police investigate deadly shooting

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man died after being shot in Delano on Saturday, and now police are trying to find the person who pulled the trigger.

Delano police responded to a report of shots fired on Albany Street near Cecil Avenue around 12:45 p.m. When they arrived, officers found a man suffering from several gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.

Police say the suspect vehicle, which witnesses described as a beige SUV, took off northbound on Albany Street. The homicide remains under investigation.
