Shaver Lake drowning victim identified

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man who drowned at Shaver Lake over the Fourth of July weekend has been identified.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office says Luis Ortiz, 38, was swimming at the lake when he disappeared Saturday afternoon. Helicopter crews and divers looked for him for hours but had to suspend their search until daylight.

Ortiz's body was recovered on Sunday.
