Suspect sought in violent Fresno convenience store robbery

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities are searching for the suspect in a violent convenience store robbery in Northwest Fresno.



The robbery happened at the Golden State Mini Mart on Golden State Boulevard near Herndon Avenue just before 10 p.m. Saturday. Fresno police say a man pepper-sprayed the clerk, hit him with a metal bar, and tried to wrap his hands and face with duct tape. The suspect got away with cash, a laptop, and a cellphone.



He's described as an African-American man, about 6 feet tall, with a slender build. He was wearing a white ski mask over his face, gray basketball shorts, a gray jacket, and carrying a green pillow case.
