Multiple power outages in Fresno County after car crashes into power pole

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is recovering in the hospital he crashed his car into a power pole and then caused several power outages in Fresno County.

The crash happened Sunday morning on McCall near Jensen. Multiple homes in the area had their power knocked out while crews pulled the man to safety.

Investigators say the driver had prior mental health issues but they don't know exactly why he crashed.

McCall was shut down for several hours during the repairs.
