Porterville woman dies after double shooting

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The 36-year-old woman shot in Porterville has died. Detectives continue to search for two suspects accused of shooting her and a 36-year-old man on Wednesday night.

The woman's family has identified her as Vicky Sanchez. They tell us they're broken but they're remembering the legacy she left.

Stella Valdez said, "She was a friend to everybody and never hurt anybody she was the best person ever in the whole world and we're going to miss her, I can't believe that she's gone."

The male victim was also critically injured but detectives hope to interview him soon.

Detectives are asking for the public's help in solving this case.
