Man hospitalized after being shot at apartment complex in Central Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is hospitalized after being found with a gunshot wound at an apartment complex on Sunday afternoon in Central Fresno.

Fresno police say they responded to a call around 3:55 p.m. at the Brooks Villa Apartments near Brooks and McKinley avenues.

When they arrived, officers found a 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his chest.

He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Officers say they are currently searching for a suspect.

The shooting remains under investigation.
