Suspect arrested in connection to an apartment shooting in West Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man has been arrested in connection to an apartment shooting in West Fresno.

It happened last month near Fruit and Ashlan.

Police say a man was shot in his chest and shoulder and is recovering.

The victim told officers he was walking with a woman through the apartment community when he was hit.

Officer's found a nearby glass door of a unit--shattered by gunfire.

The investigation revealed the shots came from inside that apartment.

The resident who lives there- confirmed several people were in the apartment during the shooting, but did not know who fired the rounds.

On Friday, police tracked 45-year-old Eric Ramos and connected him the shooting.

He was booked into the Fresno County Jail.
