2015 Rubik's Cube World Champion misses world record by half a second

How fast can you solve a Rubik's Cube? (And no, taking the stickers off and replacing them doesn't count).

Feliks Zemdegs, a 19-year-old from Australia, won the 2015 Rubik's Cube World Championship in Brazil, according to ABC in Australia.

Blink and you might miss him solving it. His time of 5.695 was less than half a second shy of the world record.

The record for a single solve is currently held by American Collin Burns, who solved it in 5.25 seconds this past spring.

Zemdegs holds the world record for fastest average, with a 6.54 average in his 38 official competitions, according to the World Cube Association.
