Road closed for a week after a sinkhole opens up in Kings County

HANFORD, Calif. (KFSN) -- The CHP said it could take a week to repair a collapsed portion of 11th Avenue south of Hanford.

A video was posted to the Highway Patrol Facebook page shows water pouring in where pavement is supposed to be.

It is still unclear exactly what caused the sinkhole, but anyone who usually travels along 11th Avenue near Idaho Avenue will have to find an alternate route for now.
