Elementary school students surprised with new bicycles

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Ninety-one third graders at Miramonte Elementary School took home brand new bicycles and helmets.

They were gifts from Celebration church and it was all a surprise for students.

"I'm impressed at the generosity of our community. It is always heart-warming to have people come out to help our kids. The church is really focused on making sure that this holiday season is a joyful one for everybody and I think our third graders got a piece of that today," said principal Laura Hart.

Many of the kids come from low-income homes making today's surprise even more special.
