The Fresno Yosemite International Airport is getting support from the federal government to make some much-wanted repairs.
Wednesday morning the U.S. Department of Transportation announced that FYI is getting a more than $9-million infrastructure grant. The money will go toward taxiway repair.
This grant is part of a much larger pool of money supporting infrastructure repair projects at airports across the country.
The goal of the federal funding it to help improve aviation safety and efficiency at community airports.
