Valley Public Radio begins construction on new station
A Fresno radio station is laying the groundwork for a new home.

FRESNO, Calif. -- A Fresno radio station is laying the groundwork for a new home.

Valley Public Radio broke ground at the technology park in Clovis -- site of the stations future home. KVPR raised $1.6 million in preparation for the start of construction.

Valley Public Radio bought the parcel in 2013. The land was paid for through donations.

Valley Public Radio reaches an audience as far away as Tuolumne, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus counties.
