Mays, Hunt score 5 TDs, Utah State routs Fresno State, 56-14

FRESNO, Calif. -- Devante Mays ran for three touchdowns and LaJuan Hunt ran for two more as Utah State routed Fresno State, 56-14 on Saturday night.

Fresno State (1-5, 0-3 Mountain West) recovered a fumbled punt at the Utah State 35 with 3:51 left in the first quarter and Kilton Anderson found Jamire Jordan with a 21-yard touchdown pass that evened the score at 7-7 after one quarter.

The Aggies (3-2, 2-0) took control in the second quarter with 22 unanswered points. Mays scored his first touchdown and Hunt added his second to make it 20-7. Marwin Evans tackled Kilton Anderson in the Fresno State end zone for a safety and Kent Myers hit Devonte Robinson with a 44-yard touchdown pass just before halftime to make it 29-7 at intermission.

Mays finished with 92 yards on nine carries and Myers was 18 of 25 for 260 yards and a touchdown.
