Christmas cheer has spread to every room of the White House. There's no shortage of beautiful decorations to admire, from gingerbread houses to giant yarn replicas of Obama dogs Sunny and Bo.
First lady Michelle Obama unveiled the decor during a preview event for military families on Nov. 29.
The carefully chosen decorations promote a theme in many rooms, like the first lady's healthy eating initiative in the Red and Green Rooms, represented by fruit mixed in with the wreaths.
The White House said that just 10 percent of the 70,000 ornaments and other decorations were new. The rest were reused.
