Visalia police looking for thief who ran off with nearly $5,000 ring

VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Visalia police are looking for a suspect who stole from a jewelry store on July 11.
They say the suspect entered Daniel's jewelry store in the Visalia Mall and asked to view and hold a ring.
Shortly after being given the ring, the suspect ran off with it.
Police earlier released the photo of a person they believed to be the thief. They later said that person was not involved in the incident and is not a suspect in the case.
The ring is valued at $4,949.95 and is described as a white gold solitaire ring with a half-carat oval marquise diamond.
