Police are investigating a shooting in Southeast Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police are investigating a shooting that happened in Southeast Fresno Sunday evening.

Authorities say a man in his 20s was shot while inside a home on Mayfair Boulevard and Normal Avenue.

The victim, according to police, is a parole and known gang member. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.

Lt. Carl McKnight of the Fresno Police Department said, "He got shot inside, came outside collapsed, his girlfriend called 911. But the victim suffered a major shotgun injury to his arm basically almost removed his arm from the blast of the shotgun."
