FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The ALS association hosted its 16th Annual Walk to Defeat ALS Sunday at Woodward Park.
The one and a half mile walk raised money to support the mission priorities for ALS care services and research.
The Central Valley Walk brought more than 600 people to Northeast Fresno and raised more than 55 thousand dollars.
Members of the ALS Association say the event is a good reminder of just how often people get diagnosed with the disease.
