"It gets pretty packed in here. Everyone wants wiper blades at the last minute and we're usually helping them out there in the parking lot. It's crazy," said Hugo Zarate, Napa Auto Parts.
Zarate says every car should have an emergency kit that includes jumper cables, flares, a flashlight, fire extinguisher and first-aid kit.
If you do get stranded in a winter storm, keep your cell phone on, stay with your car, tie a brightly colored cloth to your antenna, start the car and use the heater for ten minutes every hour and keep your arms and legs moving for warmth.
The Fresno County Sheriff's Department rescue crews are on standby in case people get trapped by the weather.
