According to a police report, doctors at Children's Hospital told authorities it appeared as if the boy's ears had been "cored out."
The child is now deaf and doctors say he may never speak again.
Accused Child Abuser Goes to Prison
KFSN Phyllis Henson pleaded no contest on Friday and will serve two years in prison. Henson was accused of severely damaging the ears of then one-year-old Malachi Castro while she babysat for him at her apartment in Los Banos.
