The flag was flying at half staff at the hardware store in honor of the young soldier. The owner told us he didn't know Tim, but knows the martin family. They own a dairy.
The family home is just a few miles east of town. A family friend told us the family did not want to talk about Tim right now.
Timothy martin was 27, assigned to the 25th infantry division based in a Hawaii. He was a sargent. He and three other soldiers were killed four days ago in Iraq when an explosive device blew up their vehicle.
