Cantu disappeared March 27 from the Tracy mobile home park where she lived. Her body was found in a suitcase dumped in an irrigation pond near Tracy on April 6.
Huckaby Thursday filed a motion to fire her attorney. The judge denied the request.
Huckaby also finally entered a plea of not guilty.
