The White House has launched a new program that uses text messages to improve the health of expecting mothers and their babies."Text for Baby" allows mothers-to-be to sign up for weekly messages with tips including nutrition and immunization. The texts are approved by government and health experts, and the goal is to reduce premature births.

Cell phone companies have agreed to wave all fees to receive the texts. To access the free service, text the word "baby" to 511411.
