Black ice has caused accidents and pile ups all over the Valley. A minivan nearly slid off the Tuolumne Street Bridge after hitting a patch of ice early Tuesday morning.
Officers say cars need to be winterized before hitting the roads ... which includes checking and replacing tires, windshield wipers, batteries and fluids.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down on interstates and overpasses.
