Monday was the second time testimony brought tears from Phillip Woodley and from other family members. But several family members told Action News they thought Phillip was crying crocodile tears.
Woodley cried when he saw police video from the scene of the murders for which he's standing trial.
His father's blood was spread across the carpet near evidence marker "A", in the living room of his Tarpey Village home. He broke down again when he saw his stepmother's blood in the bedroom. But many family members believe he's faking his tears for Roy and Angie Woodley.
"I think that's a show," said Roy and Angie's grandson, Chris Gonzales. "His attorney is obviously probably trying to play the emotions from the jury."
The graphic scenes from inside the house silenced the courtroom, overwhelming a few family members who stepped outside until the video was done.
"It's just bringing back everything just how it was five years ago," said Gonzales. "It's really hard for my mom, my aunt, for all of us."
Despite all the blood in the house, there was no physical evidence tying anyone to the crime.
Phillip Woodley told friends and family that he was worried about his fingerprints being on his stepmother's purse, but from a previous visit. They weren't. But prosecutors have one witness who says he was there when Woodley committed the murders.
Jeff Rancour testified in a jail jumpsuit after cutting a deal with prosecutors for his testimony in the case.
Woodley's defense attorney says Rancour's testimony only proves that he was there, not Phillip Woodley, and that Rancour has been looking for someone to pin the crime on.
"I think it's pretty clear that Rancour was there and there's no evidence that my client was, other than Rancour," said defense attorney Eric Green.
Green says there were a lot of holes in Rancour's testimony -- like when he claimed Woodley changed his pants while driving from Tarpey Village back to Selma.
He also says his client's emotions were real.
