Armed men forced way into Northeast Fresno home

FRESNO, Calif.

Officers say a 20-year old woman was house-sitting -- when a man knocked on the door, asking if someone was home. The woman said no -- and the man left.

But he came back a few minutes later with two other men, including one who was armed with a gun.

They forced their way into the home and held the victim down, while searching the house.

Police say the men likely knew what they were looking for.

"Most home invasion robberies are isolated, the suspect has knowledge of what's inside the house, or who is inside the house, and their goal is to get something that's inside the house," Jeff Cardinale said.

The men stole several items from the home, but the house sitter was not hurt.
