Former Fresno music teacher guilty in sex case

FRESNO, Calif.

A jury deliberated one day before finding Jonathan Malcolm guilty on all 13 charges. Malcolm taught music at University High School.

He was convicted of having sexual contact with one student and sending inappropriate messages to another.

During the trial, Malcolm admitted to sexual contact with one of his students after she graduated. But she was still a minor at the time.

He now faces a sentence of up to 12 years in prison and will have to register as a sex offender.
