The first shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Liberty, near Sweet. Police say at least two suspects opened fire on two victims as they walked from a home in the area.
An adult suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, and a juvenile was shot in the back and arm. Both are expected to be okay.
The second shooting happened just before 4:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Locust. Police say a 40-year-old man was shot several times as he was standing in the doorway of his home.
Police say he was shot by at least two different firearms, but he is expected to survive.
"The last update I received -- he's in critical but stable condition. The officer who went checked on him said they expected a full recovery. But it is going to take some time," said Sgt. Brent Abbott with the Visalia Police Department.
So far, police haven't made any arrests in either shooting and they don't yet know if they're related.
Police are also investigating a stabbing at a Visalia party. They arrested one man after he allegedly stabbed two people. Both suffered only minor injuries.
