Austin Bice, 22, was last seen in Madrid, Spain more than a week ago after a night out with friends.
Tuesday morning, Spanish authorities found the body of the San Diego state student in a river near the disco where Bice was last seen.
An autopsy has yet to be performed, but investigators say an initial inspection of the body indicated no signs of violence.
On the night of February 26, the college student told friends he was going home alone while others stayed at the club.
Bice was in Spain for a semester abroad on a business-course study.
